Where to Thrift, Eat & Do All the Things in St. Augustine, Fl
The Nation's Oldest City is surprisingly fresh
I’ve been ruminating on my St. Augustine guide for quite some time. The Oldest City is one of my very favorite places to spend a day — it has such a fun personality, due to its rich history, kitschy touristy stops, and youthful energy courtesy of the Flagler College students that abound.
There are a lot of places to shop for vintage in St. Aug and I tried to include all of my favorites below. That being said, I veered away from the typical tourist traps — I figure if you want to go the Fountain of Youth or the Alligator Farm, you can find that on Yelp. Here, I want to share the more off-the-beaten path places I frequent (to thrift, eat, and shop).
Typically, I list out my thrift guides in the order in which you hit them on a map but today, I’m listing them out by categories. Because there’s a lot to do in St. Augustine and a lot of stops to make, and you might not want to hit all of them.
That being said, I still plotted everything out on a map, because I love you!
PS. I recently spoke to Dwell about shopping for The Golden Girls look at the thrift: the materials to look for, how to get the look without going too literal, that kind of thing. It’s a fun read!
