It will officially be spring in less than ten days, and something about the changing of the seasons always has me wanting to redecorate. In truth, it means very little in Northeast Florida, weather-wise (it’s already been in the 80s here quite a bit). But there is significance in the rollover — the subtle segue from cool temperatures to warmer ones, and the feeling of “newness” that accompanies that.
For me, it’s meant I’m compiling images of interiors that inspire me and trying to deduce how best to replicate the look. And weirdly, I am drawn to a lot of shells lately. Shell tables, shell chairs, old shells just casually placed on a mantle or bookshelf. I love shells in fashion, too — shell charms or bags, for instance.
As with just about anything, you can totally find shell-inspired items at the thrift store. But there’s tons of new shell stuff, too, so I rounded up both.
Below, I’ve compiled some images of the shell-stuffed interiors inspiring me, along with some odds and ends that I’m eyeing of late.
Happy hunting.

A recent purchase: I bought this tank top (in cream, but the green is cute, too) and adore it. Perfect fit, true-to-size, and it’s a mix between a classic tank and a henley, so you could undo some of the buttons if you like.
My favorite new moisturizer: This dry body oil comes in either jasmine or fragrance-free, which is clutch for me, someone whose skin is so sensitive I will get a rash if you roll your eyes in my direction. The packaging is beautiful, it’s packed full of botanicals, and it really does moisturize your body (without leaving an oily residue — it actually sinks in).
A funny anniversary: Can you believe it’s been SEVEN YEARS since the BBC dad’s kid’s (and then, wife) stormed in behind him during a live segment? This never gets old. I miss when things were viral for longer than thirty seconds.
and I’ll leave you with this…
This post makes me so happy! I’m also obsessed with shell stuff too right now. 🐚
