So fun! My shopping day is a bit different: I eat a big breakfast and slightly dehydrate before getting going (there’s no break until I’m done!), and then I shop for about 5 hours straight. I often shop with friends and we do a 2-3 hour shop, but every so often I let them come with me on one of “my” shops and they are boggled.

Solid day! I went to my first garage sale of the season yesterday and walked away with so many vintage Christmas ornaments. I went thrifting with my cousins and aunts last weekend, and was a nice change of pace, as I normally shop alone.
Would love to know the Goodwill(s) you hit up?! My in laws live in Atlanta so I’m always thrifting when I’m there and estate saleing. Curious if the Goodwill you went to is on my list. Lost-n-Found was! I added the others :)
For the second time now , I’ve read a really cool article you’ve written that highlights certain vintage brands or labels we should be thrifting only to look up and see one of those brands hanging and staring straight at me (a Flora Kung jacket) or sitting (in the case of my Maitland Smith tessellated stone console table) across from me-what a gratifying feeling!
In the topic of Bis, it was huge when I was in college in the late eighties. My roommate wore it almost exclusively (it wasn’t cheap, so the girls who had expendable income were the ones who could afford it). In the nineties, my mother in law inherited her friend’s entire closet full it when said friend switched up her look. My MIL went on to wear those pieces for years; I recall a lot of midi skirts with matching puff sleeved jackets (not too puffy) in solids and gorgeous fabrics. She also had a beaded jacket (wood beads-a beautiful piece) with a matching midi skirt that she wore to my sister’s 1997 wedding (such versatility in this line!). l just did a deeper dive online and found some gorgeous floral Bis jackets-I had no idea these ever existed!

I have tons of thrifts on my Atlanta Thrifting Guide! But I always go to the one in Buckhead and Northside Dr.
