This year, I am especially thankful for this little community of friends — friends who DM me their latest and greatest thrift store finds; friends who write extremely heartfelt comments on my most vulnerable posts; and friends who help support me as I endeavor to create a space to teach others about collecting vintage, shopping at thrift stores, and to share just generally cool discoveries.
As a way to say “thanks,” I’m offering 50% off subscriptions to What’s Left, available through Black Friday. You can pay by the month, for $2.50, or get a subscription that lasts a full year, for $25.
A paid subscription gets you access to:
City guides, thrifting maps, and insider “secret spots”
Monthly, “Ask Me Anything” newsletters
Tips on thrifting the look of big-name interior designers
Full access to the archives, and access to the subscriber’s chat
Do note that the deal is only good through the end of tomorrow and will only work for new subscribers!
And, because there are a lot of amazing things on sale right now, I thought I’d show you just a few worthy buys that will be available over the next few days….
Totem drink glasses: These glasses — by non-alcoholic cocktail brand Ghia in collaboration with designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen — are the chest things I’ve ever seen. These would make an excellent gift (and they’re 20% off with the code GIFTGHIA). There are a lot of cute gift ideas on the Ghia site, including many as low as $15 (and discounted on top of that)! I love the bottle opener and the pill-shaped bottle holder.
Bra and panty set: I have spoken very highly about this underwear brand in the past because it is, simply, the best. Everything they make is super comfortable and wireless and their current discounts are amazing (this sheer bra is under $40). I have it on good authority that they will do another special discount on Cyber Monday (Dec. 1 and 2) with the code SHOPMYCYBER, but that code won’t work til then so in the meantime, just shop the sale (I see a lot of styles are already beginning to sell out).
Vintage home decor: Chairish’s sale is massive (every single piece on my own Chairish site is at least 30% off, which is the steepest discount I have personally ever offered) and it lasts until Dec. 2. The plaster torso is a favorite.
Beauty products: Credo is offering 20% off site-wide. That makes it a great time to stock up on essentials. This shampoo and conditioner has changed my hair completely (less frizz, thicker, no buildup).
Clothing and accessories: Nobody can top the Ssense sale, which includes deep discounts on brands like The Row, Staud, Jacquemus, and Golden Goose. My picks? This Jil Sander top for around $200, this Marni bag, and these Bottega Veneta cat-eye sunglasses.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Virginia
PS. If you’re looking for Thanksgiving leftover ideas, I included a few in last year’s letter. The breakfast burrito is a personal fave.
I am thankful for you and for all your wisdom and inspiration for crazy hunters/dreamers/collectors like me…happy Thanksgiving, Virginia!
I subscribed through your link for 50% off and was charged at 100%?
