We’ve officially entered the season of the sweater. Okay so in Florida, it has hit 80 a few days in the past week. But it’s also hovered around 65 some days which, while not exactly chilly, is definitely sweater-appropriate. Sweaters are great because they’re easy to pack, to throw over your shoulders if it gets warm, and they layer well.
Sweaters (particularly cardigans) also happen to look so luxe when worn with vintage necklaces. Enter one of my favorite tricks: to create a chunky vintage necklace, just pin a brooch to a gold or silver chain. This is a trick I use often because vintage brooches and pins are so easy to find at thrift stores (and, frankly, so hard to style). Turning them into a necklace solves the problem and creates a unique piece that no one else will have.
Below, I’ve rounded up a few outfit ideas utilizing cardigans and vintage necklaces (or vintage pins you can turn into a necklace). Hopefully these take you through the next few weeks with ease.

A book I’m reading: Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld is pure easy reading. It’s delightful and follows a female sketch writer for a late-night live comedy show that airs every Saturday (yea, it’s basically based off of SNL).
An interesting face I learned this week: Chili’s is the world’s third-largest-buyer of tequila, behind the United States and Mexico. In other words, it literally buys more tequila than entire countries. Astounding.
An article I loved: Coveteur had the guts to ask a question that’s long been on my mind: What if Taylor Swift Were a Fashion Girlie?
And I’ll leave you with this…
Those Agole jeans and Staud mini tote just went to the very top of my wishlist!
