Hi friends! I took last week off from the newsletter because it was my birthday and I was exhausted, having just spent a week doing television interviews and speaking engagements for the Charlotte Home + Landscape show. We had lots of fun in Charlotte and I will do a city guide soon, promise.
This week, though, I thought I’d keep things simple with a round-up of stuff I am loving — to buy, read, watch and eat.
I professed my love for both J. Crew designer Olympia Gayot and artist Nicole Wittenberg in a newsletter last year, so imagine my surprise to see they are now collaborating! You can now literally wear Nicole’s gorgeous work in this fun collaboration. I personally picked up the Diamond Cove tee and the Birch Tree tee and plan to wear them all summer long.
These cargo pants are pricey, yes, but I am sorry to inform that they are perfect. I own them and wore them for one of my on-stage events in Charlotte last week so I know firsthand the mileage you can get out of them. They are great with platforms and a structured blouse, but equally cool with chunky boots and a printed tee.
I am a big fan of melatonin gummies but some of them have so much of the active ingredient that I feel a little drowsy the next day. I stumbled upon the Hilo Sleep Recovery Gummies at Whole Foods (they were out of the product I normally buy) and it was a happy accident. I love these. They work pretty quickly and I always feel great the next morning. As a bonus, they actually taste good (they’re made with tart cherry) and are quite substantial, so I look forward to them as a nighttime treat.
I’ve been using Goop’s Malachite Toner every morning and night, post-cleanse and pre-moisturizer, and I feel like it’s making a difference in my skin. I also like the ritual of doing a toner. It helps me wake up in the AM and feel like all the grime of the day is swiped away in the PM.
Other stuff I’m loving:
SNL’s take on Jake from State Farm is genius.
I’m the last person on planet Earth to get into Abbott Elementary and that’s okay because it was worth the wait. It’s the perfect show.
Really into this oatmeal recipe lately, which utilizes caramelized bananas and chia seeds.
Due to many requests, I have some more prints available at Artfully Walls!
And I’ll leave you with this…
