Undoubtedly, the question I am asked most often is: What’s your favorite thrift store? But right behind it is another popular query: How do I get rid of this thing?

We all have too much stuff but not all of us want to launch a side gig selling our old stuff. Still, there comes a time and place when you have something too good to donate, but you have no idea what else to do with it.

That’s where today’s newsletter comes in. Bookmark this, share it, and reference it when you have something you need to get rid of — think that dresser you inherited from your great aunt, or that one painting you thrifted that you have a feeling is really worth something.

Think of this as a pretty wide-ranging guide on how to sell vintage items — via auction, via online marketplaces — or how to get rid of them if you can’t sell them.

I am working on a separate post about launching a side gig as a vintage-dealer, but this is more for those of us who have a single item (or maybe just a handful of things) to get rid of, and we don’t know where to start.
