The oppressive heat makes it impossible to even dream of dining outdoors these days. Fortunately, there are myriad ways to make an indoor dining situation feel festive. Over the past couple of years, I’ve upgraded my dinnerware situation, investing in plates, bowls and coffee cups that work well together and make dinner feel a little more special.
Recently, I also upgraded my silverware, purchasing a set that I swear elicits 25 DMs every time I post them. Look, I love to shop secondhand and am a firm believer that not everything needs to match. So while I love all the below pieces for a table, I think it’s fun to add in some vintage (maybe in the form of napkin rings or vases…just something to add in some patina).
Below, my picks for a table setting, the majority of which are pieces I actually own and use.

Something I read (& loved): And Just Like That… seems to have found its fashion footing
A movie I watched: Red, White & Royal Blue. The reviews are incredibly mixed but honestly, I thought the leads had a lot of chemistry and this was far sexier than I thought it would be for a direct-to-Amazon movie.
A recipe I made: Roasted salmon with citrus and coconut-chili crunch (this was delicious; 100% will make again)
and I’ll leave you with this…
