Months of travel have me feeling a sudden urge to hunker down at home — cooking really great meals, watching Amazon Prime movies (hello there, The Idea of You) and leaving only to hit up the occasional estate sale or take a really long walk on the beach.
With that mood in mind, I’ve rounded up a few of the odds and ends I’m loving right now for home — the plates I want to serve dinner on, the candles I want to burn, and the pitchers I want to pour lemonade out of.
Laetitia Rouget designs ceramics and tabletop pieces that are feminine but a little subversive. I especially love her cheeky platters — these swimmers are fantastic — and dessert plates, like this Saturday Night Fever version.
St. Frank’s textiles are beyond gorgeous and this ombré napkin looks like a sunset and is made of linen, so a few wrinkles won’t look bad at all.
I am really into this brand Polspotten, which uses time-honored techniques to create ceramics that look vintage in shape, but are covered in brilliant hues that look altogether modern. This set of four vases is under $300, which is kind of crazy considering all you get. They’d look great paired together on a shelf, or would make an outstanding wedding gift.
Vintage-wise, I’m into anything with mixed metals and gems lately. This mid-century pitcher offers the best of both worlds.
And this candle — made by the gals at Old Flame Candle Co. — mixes a vintage vessel with a hand-poured scent: tea, tobacco and tonka bean. Heavenly, I swear.

What I’m watching: I read The Idea of You during the pandemic and it was what it was: pure, unadulterated fun — a book about a 40-year-old mom who meets a hot 25-year-boy band singer and starts up a love affair with him. The movie version, now on Prime and starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, is much more romantic, poetic, and at times heart-wrenching than the book. It’s also very, very hot. Highly recommend.
Something I bought recently: These sandals offer the tiniest hint of a platform (I love a little bit of chunkiness in a sandal, personally) along with the gladiator style I have been on the hunt for all season. Plus, they’ll go with everything.
Latest beauty obsession: This glass skin foundation, which I apply with a brush. It offers full coverage but manages to be light (you don’t need a lot of product and it doesn’t look or feel heavy). Great spring/summer product.
And I’ll leave you with this…
